Larry Gitman
Larry knows personal financial planning is no day trip. His expertise brings strong fundamental and practical strategies to MapMyWealth. He is an emeritus professor of finance at San Diego State University. He received his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University, his M.B.A. from the University of Dayton, and his Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati. He has authored a number of best-selling finance texts, including Personal Financial Planning 12e and PFIN (both with Mike Joehnk and Randy Billingsley), and Fundamentals of Investing 11e (with Mike Joehnk and Scott Smart). In addition, he has authored many scholarly publications. Larry is past president of a number of academic organizations. He is a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) and served as a Director on the CFP® Board of Governors, as Vice-President–Financial Education for the Financial Management Association, and as Director of the San Diego MIT Enterprise Forum. Larry is an avid endurance cyclist.
Mike Trevino
Mike has extensive experience solving complex business problems and putting technology to work for his clients. He has architected custom solutions using multiple technologies. He has been responsible for strategic planning, SOX compliance, E-Business analysis/design, multiple system architecture efforts, methodology development and technical assessments, change management and implementation management and support. Mike is a graduate of Cornell University and excels in endurance sports, winning and setting records in running races ranging from 50 to 150 miles and cycling races ranging from 500 to 3,000 miles. Mike is an avid mountaineer and has climbed in Europe, North America, and Tibet.
